Connect with SFTP

SFTP, Secure File Transfer Protocol, is a network protocol used to transfer files between two machines securely. You may want to use SFTP when uploading, downloading, or viewing large files on your Minecraft server.

Note, in this guide we'll be using the SFTP client WinSCP as an example, but you're free to use whatever SFTP client of your choosing.

Connecting to your server using SFTP

  1. Download and install WinSCP (opens in a new tab).
  2. Open WinSCP and click "New Session" in the top left corner.
  3. Click "New Site" in the tab you opened.
  4. Find the connection details for your Minecraft server under the "Settings" tab on QuackPanel.
  5. Choose "SFTP" as the file protocol, and for the password field use the same password as you use when logging onto QuackPanel.
  6. Click "Login" to establish a connection to your server, and you're donzo.
